Hi !   I'm Ziggy, a 15 year old Congo African Grey parrot.

I can say lots of words and imitate noises. My favorite things to say are:

  • "Whatcha doing ?"   
  • "Where's Chris ?" (If I don't see my buddy Chris around)  
  • "Are you a good birdie ?" 
  • "Sweater" (this is what I named the cat next door) 
  • "Poopie Bird" 
  • "Schmoopie"
    •
  • "Squeaky door"
  • "How are you?"
  • "Whatcha doin?"  
  • "SQUIRREL" (to tell my mom that the squirrels are invading our birdfeeder again)
  • "Scooby-Doo"

Favorite Treats: Pizza, spaghetti, and anything Italian that I can get my beak into- and make a huge mess with !  I also love Wheat Thins, sweet potatoes and grapes -I love to throw the outside peel on the floor when I'm done eating the middle. :)

Age: 15

Favorite Pastime: Playing with my toys, spending time with my human family, digging, and shredding newspaper.

Friends: I have an older brother named Riko. He's a Red Lored Amazon, his picture is here too.  

Records Held:  African Grey World Record for throwing a grape 4 feet.

Most Frequent Thought:  "What can I shred next?"

My Mom: My mom is an artist, she draws portraits of pets from photos - even parrots like me ! Her Pet Portraits by Cherie website shows lots of her artwork examples of parrots, cats, dogs, and even an iguana !
